NdFeB චුම්බක හා සැසඳීමේදී, SmCo චුම්බක වඩාත් සුදුසු ඉහළ උෂ්ණත්වය වැඩ ඇත. අමතරව, SmCo  ස්ථිර චුම්බක  විඛාදන සහ ඔක්සිකරණ ප්රතිරෝධය ඉතා ශක්තිමත්. ඒ නිසා ඔවුන්ට ඔවුන් පුළුල් ලෙස ජාතික ආරක්ෂක කර්මාන්තයේ, හමුදා කර්මාන්තය, ක්ෂුද්ර තරංග උපකරණ, සංවේදකය, චුම්බක ආම්පන්න, චුම්බක සකසනය හා විදුලි යන්ත්රය භාවිතා කරයි
